One team for the wiring and the renewables

Coastal Electrical Services Lincs Ltd trades as CES and works through two divisions, CES Electrical and CES Renewables. The same engineers carry out both, which matters more than it sounds. Solar, batteries, charge points and heat recovery all land on the same consumer unit, and when one team designs the lot, the supply, the protection and the paperwork are worked out once instead of argued over between two firms.

We are based at the Skegness Business Centre and work right across Lincolnshire, from the caravan parks on the coast to farms on the Wolds and the distribution sheds along the A1.

What our accreditations mean for you

We are an NICEIC approved contractor. NICEIC assesses our work on a regular basis, and it means notifiable electrical work in your home is self certified by us under Part P, notified to building control on your behalf and followed by a Building Regulations compliance certificate.

Our solar and battery installations are MCS certified. Each one is registered with MCS and comes with its certificate, which is what an energy supplier asks to see before paying you under the Smart Export Guarantee.

We are members of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, which is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. RECC members have to insure the deposits and advance payments they take, and the workmanship warranties they give, so you are protected if an installer stops trading. We are an installation partner of Octopus Energy as well.

Who we have worked for

Several of our case studies name the client. Among them are Rolec Services Ltd, where we fitted a 200kW array with 200kWh of battery storage, a W7 Make UK distribution centre with 315kW on its roof, and Micron-Clean Ltd in Swindon, where we installed dual 22kW workplace charging.

On the electrical side we wired a 28 home development and 13 eco bungalows at Burton Waters for Belvin Construction, rewired and relit part of Grantham College for the same contractor, and completed a new build home for N R Burton Builders and a full rewire for a Linkage training centre. Closer to home, we built a 30.24kW ground mounted array with battery storage for M Holmes Ltd on its poultry farm at Friskney.
