Privacy and cookie policy
Last updated 10 August 2026.
At Coastal Electrical Services (CES) Lincs Ltd we respect your privacy and are committed to complying with UK data protection law and the UK GDPR.
1. Who we are
This website is owned and operated by Coastal Electrical Services (CES) Lincs Ltd, based in Skegness, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
You can reach us by phone on 01754 879171 or by email at info@ceslincs.com.
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. That is:
- Your name, email address and phone number when you contact us
- Anything you write in the message field of our contact form
- Details of the work you are enquiring about, so we can answer you properly
We do not ask for and do not want financial details, and we never collect special category data through this website.
3. How we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to answer your enquiry, to quote for work and to carry out that work if you go ahead. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, being our interest in responding to someone who has asked us to, and where a job proceeds it becomes performance of a contract.
We do not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry and we do not send unsolicited marketing.
4. Who processes your enquiry
Our contact form is delivered by Web3Forms, which receives your submission and forwards it to us by email. They act as a processor on our behalf. Our website is hosted by Vercel. Both hold data on our instructions only.
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics receives information about how you use the site. This is usage data such as the pages you view, not anything you enter into the contact form. Google may process it outside the UK.
Beyond those providers we do not share, sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Where we carry out work, we keep the records for six years after the end of the job, which is what our insurers and HMRC require.
6. Cookies
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site. It may also be used to measure our advertising. These cookies are not strictly necessary, so we ask for your consent before any of them are set.
When you first visit you will see a banner with an Accept and a Reject option. No analytics or advertising cookies are set unless you accept.
You can change your mind at any time. Choosing Reject also removes the Google cookies already set on this site. We will ask again after about six months. You can manage or clear cookies through your browser settings as well.
We store a record of your choice in your browser so that we do not have to ask on every page. This is strictly necessary and does not require consent.
7. Embedded content
This site does not embed third party content such as video players or maps, so no additional cookies are set by them.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete it, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Ask for it in a portable format
Email info@ceslincs.com and we will respond within one month.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
